The speaker addresses the invisible "bubbles" that influence our thinking—from digital algorithms to social and professional circles. Drawing on philosophy, military experiences, and real-world events, the talk highlights how comfort zones can restrict our understanding in an increasingly volatile world.

The central message encourages young people to challenge assumptions, embrace uncertainty, and grow by deliberately stepping outside these self-imposed boundaries. A second-generation Army officer and alumnus of The Doon School, Major General Singh brings with him a legacy of leadership and dedication shaped over 38 years of service in the Indian Army. His illustrious career includes significant command, staff, and instructional appointments, alongside notable contributions to United Nations peacekeeping missions. Beyond his service, he has played a vital role in military literature as both an author and editor, culminating his military journey as the Director General Resettlement.

Today, he continues to contribute to strategic and defense thought as a Distinguished Fellow at the United Service Institution of India (USI). His insights reflect a lifetime committed to nation-building, leadership, and public service.
