Cascamorras – production fixer on a pre-production of a documentary, made by Leitmotif Creators GMBH (Germany) for Red Bull TV. For over 500 years, an epic battle has raged between the Spanish towns of Guadix and Baza over a statue of the Virgin Mary. Each year one man from Guadix attempts the impossible mission of reclaiming the statue from the grasp of 10,000 Bastetanos. The producer’s aim was to document the event and the involved persons without valuing in any direction showing the story at the protagonists´ point of view, action-packed and emotional as it really is. Awarded at New York Festival, one of the principal international award ceremonies in the industry, which honoured the world’s best work in the fields of film, TV, print and advertising from more than 50 countries. LEITMOTIF was the proud recipient of three “World Medals” – one gold and two silver, in the categories: “Religious Programs”, “Cultural Issues” and “Best Camerawork”.
