This video presents the new 2024 Witchblade series, published by Top Cow Comics, on a chronological series of comic book covers with cover dates from 2024 to 2025.

Witchblade is a female superhero (superheroine) created in 1995 by Top Cow founder and owner Marc Silvestri, editor David Wohl, writers Brian Haberlin and Christina Z, and artist Michael Turner.

Initially, Witchblade comics follow Sara Pezzini, a NYPD homicide detective who comes into possession of the Witchblade, a supernatural, sentient gauntlet that bonds with a female host and provides her with a variety of powers in order to fight supernatural evil.

For 2024, Top Cow reintroduces the series with a reimagined origin with contemporary takes on familiar characters and new story arcs.

In Witchblade No. 1, NYPD Sara Pezzini’s life was forever fractured by her father’s murder.

Bent on revenge, Sara stalks a vicious criminal cabal beneath the city, where an ancient power collides and transforms her into something wild, magnificent, and beyond her darkest imaginings.

The adventure continues from there.

There was a Witchblade TV series from 2001 to 2002, starring Yancy Butler as Sara Pezzini.
