The biggest problem with most departments is Office Of Professional Standards/Internal Affairs.
This is the division that people go to win they’ve been done wrong and search for accountability.

In the video, you hear Sergeant Travis Griffin, say
“The main purpose is not to get people suspended or fired. The main purpose is to provide a better higher quality service to the public”.

 He leaves out the main goal of their division, which is to maintain the public’s trust and confidence in the department, and their officers.
 Instead, they replace that goal with the goal to limit the departments liability by coaching officers that receive complaints.
Law-enforcement that that conduct internal investigations the same way Detective Rodney black with the San Angelo Police Department, are the number one cause for the disconnect between law-enforcement and the public today.
