Live work session from my desk while I wait to finally post the K2 Base Camp video. Streaming on OBS at 60 frames per second, zero dropped frames, talking through where the channel is heading and trying to make working on the laptop a little more productive and fun.
In this stream I talk about the sponsor bottleneck that is holding K2, how I want to stream any time I am working, and why I am trying to keep my setup as simple as possible on a single MacBook Air screen.
We dig into my public gear doc, a new public list of future hikes, ideas for group trips and email sign ups, and a shared media kit page for brands. I also get pretty honest about money, motivation, how full time YouTube changed the way I feel about hiking, and why I would mostly just hang with my family and walk the dog if money was not in the picture.
There is a lot of chat about shorts, hiring an editor, turning these streams into commentary clips, and using live streams plus ChatGPT as the main hub for everything that is not actual hiking.
