This April, Get Physical give Leon Revol’s ‘Acid Is Rolling’ its own single release—compete with a new remix by Johannes Albert—following its initial release on 2017’s ACID LOVE compilation.

French artist Revol only put out his first music in 2015 but since then has become a key part of the house scene. He is a drummer, so always comes correct with his infectious percussion, and also has a love of melodic synths and dusty atmospheres. He puts all that into this single, which sounds as fresh now as the day it first arrived.

First up is a brilliant remix from Johannes Albert, the Frank Music boss who tours Europe, Asia and American on a constant basis. His raw, analogue sounds have given rise to underground anthems supported by the likes of Fred P and Smallpeople and this new one will likely have just as many fans. It’s a deep track cut up with writhing acid bass stabs and prickly percussion. Tension comes from the rolling snares and it’s the sort of underground but effective weapon that will
blow up the club.

The excellent original is a slow and purposeful acid house freak out. The 303s warp and wrap around the drums and will twist the floor inside out as the wild percussion unfurls up top.

This is a timely release of a huge single, with the added bonus of a vital new remix.
