The Freedom Carpento 360 is a lightweight 4 berth family caravan that you can tow with a small car. Join me, Andrew Ditton, as I take you on a quick first look at this EV-friendly caravan.

If you look at just the price and the spec, you'll see that this caravan does not deliver the value that you would get with a Bailey Discovery, an Elddis Xplore, or a Swift Sprite.

Freedom Caravans has achieved the light weight by giving the Carpento a light spec, so there is no heating or hot water as standard. And beware the limited payload, which is obviously deliberate to keep the caravan under the magic 750kg figure.

There are fixed bunks at the back of this family-friendly lightweight caravan as well as a modest kitchen and a washroom. But what is genius about the Carpento range (built in Turkey) is the way the front dinette converts into a double bed.

Do be aware that the Freedom Carpento that I looked at was a prototype - please check price, spec, and warranty terms with Freedom before committing.
