Composting in a bucket, also known as bucket composting or indoor composting, is a convenient and space-efficient method of composting organic waste. It's particularly useful for those who have limited outdoor space or live in apartments or urban areas where traditional composting methods may not be feasible.



Here's a step-by-step guide on how to compost in a bucket:


Choose a suitable container: Select a sturdy and lidded bucket or a large container with a tight-fitting lid. Make sure it has a capacity of at least 5 gallons (19 liters) to allow for proper decomposition.


Drill or poke holes: To ensure proper airflow, drill or poke several small holes in the sides and bottom of the bucket. This will facilitate oxygen circulation and prevent the compost from becoming overly wet.


Green Mix powder: Take green mix powder if your waste is 1kg then you'll need 2 kg green mix powder. If your waste is around 500 grams everyday then you'll need 1kg. Add Green mix powder on Day 1 completely into the bucket/pot.


Harvesting compost: Once the compost has turned dark brown and has an earthy smell, it is ready to be used. You can sift out any large, uncomposted materials and transfer the finished compost to your garden or potted plants.


Remember to monitor the composting process regularly, adjusting moisture levels if necessary, and maintaining a good balance between organic waste and carbon-rich materials. With proper care, you can turn your kitchen scraps into valuable compost for your plants, even in a small bucket indoor
