The 2022 RDS Florida Pro/Am is always an event that we look forward to every year and this contest didn't disappoint! All the competitors did a great job in the sub par conditions and the weather was great all weekend. There was some crazy battles across all the divisions and heats were very tight.

In the Pro Division, the crowd was on their feet as the boys battled their way through each heat putting on a show! Zap team riders Gerardo Valencia, Yahir Valencia, Zack Carter, and Dave Armstrong were some stand out riders during the first day of competition. During the third round of the Pro division, the heats were getting really tough to judge. The riders were going trick for trick as they were trying to claim their spot in the Semi Finals. Jackson Tenney/Gerardo Valencia & Yahir Valencia/Sterling Myers were the Semi Final heats with the Valencia Brothers advancing onto the Final. Gerardo and Yahir Valencia's man on man heat was something we have never seen before with incredible tricks being thrown down by both. In the end, Yahir Valencia got the best of his older brother Gerardo.

In the Amateur divisions, Graham Shelton was making the crowd go crazy with the varial flips that he was landing. He didn't just land one, he landed a few in the contest and that is something that has never been done. Graham is an insanely talented skimboarder and he took the top spot in Jr. Mens! Giorgio Tomasi was shredding all weekend long taking the top spot in the Mini's Division. Zeke Williams took the Win in the Mens Division with fellow team rider ET Beaugrand finishing in 2nd.

We had a great season with all events this year and had a great time the 2022 RDS Florida Pro/Am! It was a very busy summer and we are always stoked to end it at Vilano Beach. Thank you Steve from RDS for hosting and organizing the event and to all the sponsors that make it happen.
