2023 BMW iX3 in-depth Walkaround

BMW has introduced a new fully electric compact luxury Sports Activity Vehicle, the iX3, which is based on the third-generation X3. While the iX3 shares the same sporty styling as the X3 M Sport, it features visual details that set it apart from its conventional ICE X3 sibling, such as a blocked-off kidney grille, blue accents, missing exhaust tips, and unique wheels.

The iX3 comes with a single motor and rear-wheel drive, delivering a power output of 210kW and a torque of 400Nm. Its 73.8kWh battery provides a range of 460km (WLTP) and consumes energy at 19.5kWh/100km. The vehicle can be charged up to a maximum speed of 150kW DC / 11kW AC, using CCS DC / Type 2 AC plug types, and weighs 2180kg. Additionally, the iX3 offers a boot space of 510L seats up or 1560L seats folded.

On the inside, the iX3 boasts two 12.3-inch displays—one serving as the instrument cluster and the other as the controlled display for the infotainment system. Blue accents on the starter button, which is now located in the center console, allude to the pure electric drive system. The BMW i logo is present on the door sill plates and elements of the instrument and control display screens. Even the standard ambient lighting features BMW i blue illumination as a default.
