Railfanning CSX & Amtrak in Appalachia - May 2021

Between May 19th and the 21st of 2021, I headed out to the New River Gorge and Appalachia via Amtrak's Blue Water and Cardinal to go meet up with a good friend of mine. Over those 3 days we did some railfanning spanning from the ghost town of Thurmond, West Virginia all the way east to Clifton Forge, Virginia ending our journey at the C&O Railway Historical Society. We ended up seeing a good amount of trains whether that be heavy coal drags, mixed freights, grain trains, or Amtrak's Cardinal. Being in the mountains compared to the relatively flat and forested part of Michigan I live in was a very nice change and I hope I can revisit this part of the US once again soon! Lots of trains in West Virginia and Virginia I wouldn't ever see in Michigan too. This is my longest railfanning video yet so I hope you enjoy!
