tobi lou was born in nigeria and then moved to chicago. he lived there pursuing his mlb career until he was injured. this forced him to move to l.a. where he wrote and produced for other artist. tobi lou has been making music for years now. i remember listening to his buff baby song back then. his genre is more pop-rap than anything. i don't really know how to pin down the type of rap tobi lou performs. the best i could come up with is "playful pop-rap" lol. let me know what y'all think! tobi lou has been blowing up recently, you can credit this to his newest album "live on ice," chance the rapper tweeting, "Damn Tobi Lou so raw," or just his dedication to the craft.
