Our today’s video discusses the amendments made by the government of Australia to its legislation allowing permanent residency.

The government of Australia announced changes to its legislation on 18 March 2022 regarding the permanent residency pathways. These amendments were for the visa holders of Subclass 457 and 482 on the Short-Term Occupational List (STSOL). These visa holders nominated to the STSOL under these amendments will be permitted under Subclass 186 Temporary Residence Transition Stream (TRTS) a permanent residency. In order to qualify, applicants must have the following:

Lived in Australia between the period of 1st February 2020 and 14 December 2020 for at least 6 months.

Fulfill the obligations set out under the TRTS
