Rush SR Demo Laps & Review @ Club Motorsports Park

Описание к видео Rush SR Demo Laps & Review @ Club Motorsports Park

Went to Club today to do a little practice for our upcoming karting season and the staff @ Club Motorsports randomly asked me if I'd like to demo the Rush.

They practically threw the keys at me, how could I say no??

I'm familiar with this car through reading the spec sheet. I own an Atom 3, and I've considered bike engine Lotus 7s, and have considered a Radical in the past,, but never seen one in person, and have never driven or ridden in a bike engine car.
First off, the car presents very well in person. Sitting in gel coat it looks better finished than most race cars or kit cars. Some angles that don't show well in photographs look very well proportioned in person. The interior is all business and yet also looks well finished, of similar caliber to a Radical, or even maybe a BAC Mono.

Very stable, Confidence Inspiring and smooth. It did not drive how you would imagine a 900lb race car would drive. Club is a smooth track but it was very compliant. I would bet you could take lots of curb in this car, and or do very well on bumpy tracks.
I've been racing a low downforce Miata this season and other then the additional pace of this car I'd be more confident throwing a new racer in this car then my Miata.

Car was on AR1s that I didn't get up to temp, and the car was too capable to get a feel for the edge of adhesion, but both drivers got out and commended the car on being very easy and seemingly forgiving. Club's elevation changes can easily, and regularly do, unsettle cars especially mid engine.

The team said they've run mid/low 1:40s here which is how fast I've gone in my Atom. There's without doubt considerably more pace in the car, at least 5, likely closer to a 10 sec gap between this car and my Atom.

Excellent track day option for newer drivers who want to fill the mirrors of their local supercars, while being easier to drive then those same cars.

You guys need an arrive and drive race series.

Thanks for letting me take it out
