12v Vr6 Head Rebuild 276 cams \\\ Mk3 Jetta \\\ ADM Performance

Описание к видео 12v Vr6 Head Rebuild 276 cams \\\ Mk3 Jetta \\\ ADM Performance

The Vr6 rebuild video is finally complete. Last April of 2021 I rebuilt the Vr6 head and upgraded the cams to the biggest ones I could run without needing new pistons, and also raised the compression a bit by using a Mk4 metal gasket, rather than the Mk3 composite gasket.

The head was stripped down, resurfaced, and had the valves lapped. It received all new...
-Lifters
-Valve guides
-Valve stem seals
-Keepers
-Heavy duty valve springs
-All new seals around the head
-ARP head studs
-Mk4 head gasket
-276 Techtonics Tuning cams
-Lower intake manifold gasket (Newsouth Performance)

I want to give a massive shoutout to Andy and ADM Performance for helping make all of this possible. This project was the furthest I've gone with a car before and I learned a ton during the process.

It's been over a year since the rebuild and I've put just under 5,000 miles on the motor. The engines done awesome, I got to cruise it down to Eureka Springs just a month after the rebuild, it was around a 500 miles trip total. It was the first time it's been back to Arkansas in 5 years.

It took me awhile to get the video together cause I started running into some electrical issues that were causing random misfires a few months after the rebuild. It ended up being the ICM on the coilpack, but it took me awhile to figure that out. Between now and the engine rebuild the Jetta's had quite a bit more work done to it.

-OEM Sport plaid seats
-OEM blue stitched shifter & e-brake boots
-A/C system completely rebuilt
-Converted engine electronics from OBD1 to OBD2
-Mk2 rear beam swap (narrower rear end)
-CX Racing Coilovers
