Ingredients:
3-4 Tablespoons flour
ham drippings
1 cup hot water
1 teaspoon pepper

Place a pot on the stove and add the flour.
Add about 4 tablespoons ham drippings and turn on medium heat.
Whisk the flour and drippings together until smooth (2-3 minutes).
Add the rest of the ham drippings and mix together, whisking smooth.
Add the hot water and pepper to your gravy.
Gravy may clump a bit, whisk again until it is creamy and smooth.
Gravy will start to thicken and bubble.
Remove from heat and serve in a gravy boat or something easy to pour from.

Serve of your mashed potatoes and ham.
