Peking duck is originally from Beijing, China. It is named after the old name of the city - Peking.
Peking duck is different from other roasted duck in the country. It was primarily only served at restaurants in Beijing. Local Beijing people are proud of their traditional recipe of Peking duck.

Difference between roasted duck & Peking duck:
1. they use different breeds and picks of ducks
2. different sauces/spices for seasoning inside the duck
3. different sugar-based to caramelize
4. Cantonese BBQ duck meat/bone has very strong flavor (Chinese 5 spice)
