KOALA Circumferential Joint Welder for Box Columns

The Koala Welding System is designed to weld
circumferential joints on vertically standing box
columns. The machine is driven by magnetic rollers and
supported by Bug-O’s exclusively designed aluminum
rigid rail. This new rail combined with alignment tools
provides quick and easy setup. The torch support
floats independently to maintain constant distance
from the work. The addition of the SpinArc® torch to the
Koala allows for better penetration, wetting action and
deposition rates. The combination of the motion control
provided by the Koala with the improved performance
of the SpinArc® torch creates high quality welds.
