Heather Moyse is a world-renowned four-time Olympic athlete, and two-time Olympic Gold medalist. On top of those accolades, Heather is also a trained occupation therapist and uses her lifetime of knowledge and experience as a motivational speaker, inspiring people around the world.

In my conversation with her, Heather discusses her path to the Olympics and the fact that despite her beginning on this path later in life than most professional athletes, she was able to achieve tremendous success. One way that Heather accomplished her goals was to push past doing what was expected of her, and work toward what she was capable of, exceeding the expectations of others and herself.

She stresses the importance of understanding that we do not fear failure, but rather what we fear what failure will bring, such as judgment and isolation.

Ultimately, Heather shares how she was able to learn to not underestimate herself and how you, too, can create your own definition of success to achieve your goals.
