A multi-faceted beast, it keeps changing things up without betraying the true nature; everything is intuitively done and executed to perfection. It's the only way Serpent of Old are able to write songs that are almost 10 mins long and retain your interest throughout the duration. It's a complex album that you can easily get lost in without feeling disoriented. And that's reason enough for you to keep revisiting it over and over again and invariably discover new facets each time. This is a fantastic, highly accomplished album that is easily one of the highlights in recent times.
