Normally, when you discard a card, it’s gone for good, But Green Goblin changes everything.

This deck flips one of Magic’s oldest rules on its head, turning discarding into card advantage, and your graveyard into a second hand.

On the front, Norman Osborn is a cheap, unblockable creature with Connive perfect for looting away cards you’ll later want to replay. But once he transforms into Green Goblin, things get wild. Suddenly, every nonland card in your graveyard gains Mayhem, letting you cast it back from your graveyard for its mana cost if you discarded it, and all your graveyard spells cost two mana less.

The result? You’re discarding to set up your entire turn. Every discard becomes a play, every turn becomes a storm of spells, and every game turns into a puzzle where your choices matter.

What makes this list special is how smooth and powerful it feels, even on a 100 € budget. I actually started with a full no-budget build, but quickly realized that the deck’s core engine was already affordable. All it needed was a few tweaks to the mana base to fit into a tighter price point. And honestly? Even if I had triple the budget, I’d barely change a thing.

This is one of the most complex and rewarding decks I’ve ever built for the channel. It’s packed with synergies, value recursion, and smart sequencing that makes every game feel unique. It can pivot between control and value, grind out opponents, and explode with powerful discard-fueled turns that look straight-up unfair once the engine starts rolling.
