DPO Soreng , BDO DARAMDIN , Assistant Engineer BAC DARAMDIN , Revenue Supervisor along with Panchayat Members along with disaster management team visited various sites under DARAMDIN block to assess the damages caused due to massive rainfall in the midnight of 17 June 2023.
The house of Zima Lhamu Sherpa that had been washed away due to the increase in flow of Rammam khola was visited.
Relief materials on behalf of BAC DARAMDIN was provided and was relocated to a safer place.
Various landslides had occurred on the way to ribdi making it almost impossible to reach the affected households. Through tranship , some sites were visited at Ribdi Bhareng GPU. Various damages of protective wall of houses along with crop damage was seen.
NTPC of Lungchok Salangdang GPU was totally damaged which was also visited by the team.
Some houses under Dodok block was also damaged.
Tarpaulins were given as immediate relief materials to the beneficiaries.
The people were advised to be alert, the GPU Disaster management authorities were asked to be vigilant and report any untoward incident to the BAC.
