I've been struggling because of the limitations of my good old G920, (especially when it comes to drifting) it was about time that my wallet took the $1000+ hit to upgrade to an "entry-level" Fanatec wheelbase and pedals with load-cell kit.

To my pleasure, it turns out to be so smooth because of its belt-driven system making it extremely silent, and incredibly smooth!

The force feedback motor is powerful enough to snap your fingers! I’ve read it’s the same as the CSW 2.5. I was drifting and crashed into a guard rail with 100 percent FFB and it chipped my skin off even while wearing those gloves.

The G920 especially struggled in the counter-steering department because of the gear-driven system and the force feedback was more than often underwhelming.

With the CSL Elite WB, I’m way more confident when making those drift entries at relatively higher speeds whereas on the G920 I would think twice.

TL, DR: The upgrade is worth every penny IMHO. You have to try it for yourself to feel the difference.
