Yesterday was a remarkable day as Hindustan Hindi newspaper honored the real heroes from diverse agencies who tirelessly dedicate their lives to serve society. I had the privilege of receiving the honour on behalf of Jan Mitra Nyas from the hands of the Police Commissioner of Varanasi, which was a moment of pride and deep responsibility.

On this occasion, I also underlined the urgent need for police reforms and called for the implementation of recommendations of various Police Commission reports. A reformed and accountable police system is essential to strengthen people-centered justice, protect the marginalized, and ensure that power is always exercised with humanity and fairness.
