T'puram: The crucial meet between Transport Minister Thomas Chandy and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, that took place at the Cliff House on Wednesday morning, failed to cut any ice on the question of resignation and it looks like the chief minister has told the NCP leader that resignation is the most ideal option that is left before him. However, the chief minister will be meeting the press at 10.30 am. After his meeting with the CM, Thomas Chandy attended the Cabinet meeting. Marking their protest, the CPI abstained from the Cabinet meet. All the CPI Ministers remained in the cabin of Revenue Minister E Chandrasekharan as the Cabinet meet progressed. Chandy told waiting mediapersons that the chief minister will take a decision after getting a copy of the court verdict. Chandy said he had committed no wrong. The CPM is under tremendous pressure for the resignation of the NCP leader, who is facing charges of land encroachment, after the High Court dismissed his petition against Alappuzha District Collector's report on land encroachment. NCP state president T P Peethambaran Master along with other party leaders will meet CM. Peethambaran Master arrived at Chandy's residence in the morning for talks. Responding to the High Court verdict, Chandy said Tuesday that he would quit if the observation against him is in the signed verdict of the High Court. Earlier on Tuesday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said an appropriate decision would be taken at the right time after examining the HC order and the NCP'
