This presentation provides a high-level walk-through of Strategic Foresight Design including different methodologies and how they can be applied to AI Ethics and AI Governance. The objective is to encourage those designing, developing and governing AI (corporate and political) to consider the unintended consequences of emerging technologies and how we can mitigate those risks using practical foresight methodologies from conception to regulation.

Bio: Tania is a multi-disciplinary designer completing her Master of Design at OCAD University in Strategic Foresight and Innovation. Her thesis work explores an Agile, Foresight-Informed AI Governance Framework for Socially Responsible, Complex Adaptive Systems. She is also a researcher and facilitator for the Montreal AI Ethics Institute.
Tania is also the Co-Founder of OUIO, a Futures-Driven Innovation studio and the Co-Founder of Abstrakta: Empowering scholars by streamlining progress and innovation via an academic blockchain ledger.
