The thumbnail is topical because this is the finale to a board which has been waiting for its final fight for nearly 2 years by now, and because this fight is about the Void which is related to a major plot point in Hollow Knight.

There's an Xbox showcase tomorrow and a Nintendo Direct scheduled for June, so surely we're going to get a Silksong announcement soon. Right? Right?

Speaking of the actual fight here, there's a few key mechanics to note. The first and most notable mechanic here is that every five turns, the dragons will check their HP (the dragons will have a rune below them on the turn they check HP) - if one of the dragons' HP is more than 10% below that of the other dragon, then both dragons will go berserk and use an autohit Null nuke that will do around 2.5k HP. In other words, we need to keep both dragons' HP relatively close to each other.

In addition, the turn after the dragons check each others' HP, either the Creatioux Ancient or the Decadere Ancient will periodically get +600 Crit for one attack.

Furthermore, the Creatioux Ancient will periodically apply a Void Growth buff which boosts the Bonus and Boost of both it and the Decadere Ancient - this buff will stack over time but if you stun it, then its stacks will reset. The Creatioux Ancient also has damage reduction which is based off your stats (Its non-crit damage reduction is based on your STR, DoT damage reduction is based on your DEX and its Crit damage reduction is based on your INT) and it is also Deathproof.

The Decadere Ancient will periodically use its Entropic Spear, which inflicts a debuff that reduces out All resist and Bonus and will also stack every time it is used. Just like Void Growth, this debuff's stacks will reset if the Decadere Ancient is stunned.

The Decadere Ancient will also from time to time use its Void Drain, which in addition to applying a 33% reflect to both dragons', will also reduce all of our stats except WIS and END by 180 and add it to its stats if the attack connects, which will massively buff its damage output.

There are two more attacks to be careful of - the Decadere Ancient's beam attacks can stun our dragon and does a lot of damage, and one of the Creatioux Ancient's rune attacks inflicts -20 All and -30 Boost.

The dragons' rotations seem to be inconsistent based on a condition that we currently don't know - for one, I've seen the Decadere Ancient use Void Drain on turn 6 and on turn 7. For what it's worth, the Decadere Ancient used its Void Drain on turn 6, 18 and 33 in this attempt. That being said, the key attacks to dodge here are Void Drain and the -All debuffs as they drastically boost both dragons' damage output.

It takes two rounds of Conflagration to defeat both dragons (and because of the HP check mechanics, both dragons need to be defeated in quick succession) - we want to use Multi as much as we can to keep the dragons' HP close to one another. Before our first round of Conflagration, we use Magma Bubble on turn 1 to dodge Entropic Spear and Scales on turn 6 to dodge Void Drain.

In between rounds of Conflagration, we want to use Pyromancer's Flames on the Creatioux Ancient first, then immediately after stack Pyromancer's Flames on the Decadere Ancient - not only does this keep both dragons' HP relatively close to one another, but we also keep some of our Magefire stacks even after the DoT expires on the Creatioux Ancient. It also allows us to use Conflagration a second time before we would otherwise be able to if were only building Magefire on the Creatioux Ancient.

There's a part of me that wants to do this fight with Hollow Knight fashion but this fight is already laggy enough, so no fashion here.

The link to the rotation can be found here - with the disclaimer that we currently don't know how the dragons' rotations work exactly, so follow at your own risk here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

This video is sped up 1.5x - the original recording took nearly 25 minutes.
