This Lecture 34 in series of my YouTube Channel “Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy Tips” describes about the General Requirements of Load Test on Piles as per IS 2911 (Part 4): 2013 like the details & information required of the said Pile to be tested viz. Pile type, Grade of Concrete of Pile, Reinforcement details, It’s method of Installation, Diameter, Length, cross-section, number of under-reams/bulbs, layout of pile group, position of the pile in the group, water table, kind of soil strata, load carrying capacity calculations, design load of pile, anchor pile details, kentledge, etc. as well the minimum number of tests specified to be done for Initial/Routine Load Test whether it be for Vertical Compression, Uplift Capacity or Lateral Load at a particular site, test data requirements, it’s variables like time, load, displacement/deflection and preparation of curves, graphs in the Pile Load Test Report and all.
