This is part 2 of our hike in Boone, NC from Julian Price Memorial Park to Swinging Bridge in Grandfather Mountain State Park. In this video, I continue from last weeks video, part 1:    • Exploring Grandfather Mountain Section Hik...   to the second section of this, hiking from Calloway Peak to Attic Window along the Grandfather Trail. We discovered another place off the trail where I am "birthed" from the mountain that seems like a more accurate spot to be labeled "Attic Window," though it is not the actual window. The actual area named after that is at the end of the video and if you have the strength, you can climb off to the right of that area to discover the REAL attic window.

Since this is only a segment of the trail, there is not a map on all trails that only includes this piece. Follow a topographic map and the labels I used to discover the way we took. For the full hike, we did a point to point from Julian Price Memorial Park taking the Boone Fork to Tawanha to Daniel Boone Scout to Granfather Mountain Trail all the way to Swinging Bridge, where we actually had to get a ranger to let our friend pick us up because we couldn't continue in the dark the section we originally intended to use to exit. This is a VERY challenging trail, not for beginners, but SO SO SO rewarding. Definitely one of my new favorite hikes. It was around 13 miles long total, but with ladders, rock scrambles, and lots to see!
