Описание к видео Visiting the House of the Wannsee Conference, Berlin, Germany.

The Wannsee Conference took place in January 1942 and laid the ground work for what became the Holocaust.

This video shows the route to the house and some clips of the grounds of the house as well as a couple of glimpses inside. It does show a displays in the grounds of the house which feature anti-semitic 'jokes' and details of the Nazi era around Wannsee. It does not show any graphic images from the exhibition. They are shown in a separate, stand alone video.

Directions to the house:

Take a S-Bahn S1 or S7 to Berlin-Wannsee heading in the direction of Potsdam. Once off the trainand in the station proper turn right and take the underground concourse which leads to a couple of bus stops. Take the 114 bus.

The bus takes about 15 minutes to reach the house which you pass on the right. The bus stop is around a bend in the road about 50m from the entrance. The bus has an electronic board inside indicating the stop name coming up so just look out for the stop "Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz" ( "House of the Wannsee Conference").

For the return trip go back to the same bus stop as the road is one-way and the 114 bus is on a loop back to the station.
