Welcome to this week’s market update.
In Berkeley this week, there are currently 92 active listings on the market, so inventory continues to go up as we enter the summer season.
The Market Action Index this week for Berkeley is at 65, the highest number we have seen for a while now.
Buyers now are facing many challenges such as higher mortgage rates, rising prices, and limited supply of homes for sale. Check out my latest blog in Bio for some of the common mistakes homebuyers are making that you should avoid.
One of the mistakes is holding out for perfection, like having a long list of must-haves and not willing to compromise. Usually what happens to buyers is that they spend a long time searching for the perfect home then after months of disappointment, they settle for the home that's similar to the one they saw in the beginning but ended up paying much more because prices have gone up.
