Dr. Arvind Virmani is a Member of NITI Aayog and a leading macroeconomist with a focus on policy reforms for inclusive growth. He has played a key role in India’s economic reforms since the 1990s, bridging the gap between academia and policymaking. Formerly the Chief Economic Advisor and an IMF Executive Director, he has also founded EGROW and published extensively on macroeconomics, trade, and security. His experience spans finance, think tanks, and advisory roles at top institutions.
