Today, the waters have changed, and the challenge is real. Back then, catching fish was a sure thing, but today, overfishing—especially of local baitfish—has turned it into a four-day challenge to land even one. Instead of the quick success I anticipated, the effort revealed the changing waters. Still, the wildlife highlights, including rare Loon and Bald Eagle sightings, made this fishing adventure memorable.
