Motivated by FSRI’s Near Miss research, FDNY partnered with Con Edison to create this training video highlighting the importance of preplanning for emergency responses to facilities containing energy storage systems (ESS). Visit the facilities in your jurisdiction, develop relationships with their team and create a response plan together. FSRI has been partnering with the FDNY for over a decade to bring fire science to the streets and we are excited to see them continue putting the research into practice. Thanks to FDNY Deputy Chief George Healy and ConEdison Tony Natale for putting this educational video together to share with the fire service and thanks to the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) for allowing us to share it on our channels.
