About Ron Simmons:
Ron Simmons, has been with Linsey Alexander for over forty years. Ron perviously was into the R&B Soul style of music. His work started at an early age with his brother Walter “Simtec” Simmons, who had a hit record with his partner, Wylie Dixon called “Gotta Get Over The Hump”.

Ron has been playing the bass for a long time with a versatile style. He has been apart of many records in his career with Simtec and Wylie, they even recorded a song at chess records early on in their career. He grew up with the members of Earth, Wind, and Fire and would play with some of the members at an early age. Traveling in the high intensity band, Simtec and Wylie, they were gettin the attention of many venues around the world.

Ron adapted to the blues since playing with Linsey Alexander for over 40 years, which has broadened his horizon in the blues. Performing at the top of the line chicago blues venues each night, as well as large festivals around the country, he brings the Simmons style of bass playing to each set.
