Page 203-204 of American Story on Jeffersons analysis of the ancient Philosophers and Jesus’s system of morality was the most benevolent and sublime than any of the ancient Philosophers. This was a letter that Jefferson wrote to John Adams on October 12, 1813. The story of the 9000 copies printed is also in American Story.

Thomas Jefferson introduced the bill with the Speaker of the House, Theodore Sedgwick, that made it legal to use the Capital building as a church service. Page 52 says that Jefferson provided James Madison with 100 carefully selected books that he had gathered in Europe on constitutional law and related subjects. Proving Contraries is a requirement for faith and for discovering truth. Jefferson attempted to do this. Often times history is full of incorrectly balancing the controversies.
