John and John, two former miners from Yorkshire, present a commemorative serviette that honors one of Britain’s worst mining disasters. This fragile crepe paper serviette bears the names of 168 individuals who tragically lost their lives in the West Stanley pit explosion of 1909. Paper conservator Angelina Bakalarou is tasked with restoring the serviette to its original condition.
