This new headset from Beexcellent arrived nicely packaged in a mid-range windowed display box. Inside the box was the headset itself, a USB to micro-USB charging cable, a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack headphone cable with in-line control box and a larger than average well-written User Guide which I include on the end of my unboxing video.

The headset is nicely made, seems robust and strong, and quite stylish if you like LED lights. It is well padded on both the earcups, which are of the over-ear type, and on the headband. It is comfortable, lightweight, and pleasant to wear even for long listening sessions. It boasts lighting panels on either ear-cup and these are quite restrained and rather pleasant and can be turned off with the ear-cup switch provided and when used in cable mode are not available.

The headset has the usual buttons for audio and track controls as well as one to disable the light panels. All the buttons are large and easy to find by sight and touch which makes a pleasant change from the tiny recessed and hard ones often used. The principle headphone controls are replicated on the in-line control pod on the wired cable along with an NK switch to allow the headphones to work with a wider range of external devices.

What does it sound like?
The sound is excellent and worthy of a higher priced device. There is plenty of bass, not so much as to be overpowering, with the mid and higher frequencies being clear and well defined without being too sharp or abrasive. With the headphones on both when gaming and listening to music it is becomes a very immersive experience indeed. There is little difference in audio quality when used in Bluetooth or cable mode.

Connecting to Bluetooth was easy enough with the usual Blue/Red LED status buttons. Once connected I found the link to be stable and sustained with no dropouts or distortion at normal volumes when used in the same room.

As headphones for general listening, this headset is excellent for the price. The onboard mic is built into the headset and is rather muffled in use and not really suited for gaming talk-back use.

These are a large and well-made set of headphones which are fine for general purpose listening with a full and rich sound not often found at this price. If you are looking for a budget headset for music, PC Gaming and general use then this would be a good buy. The current Amazon price of £32.99 makes them particularly attractive.
