All of us have seen a dead wombat on the side of the road. It's so common that it's easy to forget there could still be a live joey in mum's pouch. Even if mum is obviously dead or have been hit a few times, there could still be a survivor and it's up to a good samaritan to stop and check and rescue that little one before they die of exposure or predation.
This will be a short but impactful class to show you how to check whether it's a male or female wombat, how to check the pouch if it's female, and how to extract the pinkie/joey if she has one.
