Breathtaking virtuosity, subversive minstrelsy and a great deal of French charm make Vincent Peirani the shooting star of the button accordion. Now for the first time he will give a complete concert together with a big band.

Atemberaubende Virtuosität, subversives Musikantentum und eine große Portion französischen Charme machen Vincent Peirani zum Shootingstar des Knopfakkordeons. Jetzt ist er erstmals mit einer Bigband zu erleben.
Selbst wenn er einen Anzug trägt, spielt Vincent Peirani stets barfuß. Solche Äußerlichkeiten mögen dazu beigetragen haben, dass der 1980 in Nizza geborene Musiker in seiner Heimat mittlerweile Starruhm genießt und auch hierzulande immer bekannter wird. Seine musikalische Meisterschaft tat das Übrige und wurde schon mehrfach ausgezeichnet, etwa mit dem "Prix Django d'Or", einem "Victoires du Jazz" und zwei Echo-Jazzpreisen.
Ob im Duo mit Michael Wollny oder Emile Parisien oder auch in seinem elektrischen Quintett: Peirani lässt das Knopfakkordeon in jedem Kontext als ausdrucksstarkes, gleichberechtigtes Instrument erscheinen und befreit es aus den Fesseln der Nostalgie. Unter seinen Händen wird der Balg zu einer "Thrill Box" - um es mit dem Titel eines Albums von Peirani zu sagen. Viele Einflüsse von Musette bis Monk und von Klassik bis Rock finden in seiner Musik zu neuen Synthesen.
