KERIKERI: RAINBOW FALLS, THE STONE STORE /// NEW ZEALAND TRAVEL VLOG

Kerikeri is our first stop in Northland. This is the largest town of the region with lots of attractions to visit. The main tourist destinations are Rainbow Falls, the Stone Store and Makana Confections Factory, but there is so much more to see in Kerikeri!

As we were travelling around Northland for the first time, we had to make sure that we visit all the must-see spots there. Rainbow Falls is one of the beautiful destinations you simply can't miss in Kerikeri. Located just a short drive from the town centre, this is an amazing waterfall to enjoy. There is a couple of short walking tracks taking you to the top lookout and also around Rainbow Falls. All tracks are super easy and also sealed so can be visited in any weather.

In this travel vlog, we also show you the Stone Store. Unfortunately, it was raining almost all day long, so we had to tweak our plans and miss the tour inside the Stone Store Museum. But even if you're not taking this tour, you can still come in and see the atmosphere of this oldest stone building in New Zealand. This shop is quite cool, so you'd probably buy souvenirs there as well.

Another popular place in Kerikeri is Makana Confections Factory and shop which also is a cafe and ice cream shop. You can see how chocolate is made here, sample it and take your favs home. Great spot for when it rains in Kerikeri.

When in Kerikeri, we stayed at the Driftwood Seaside Escapes, which is a complex of several holiday houses you can rent. We enjoyed our time in the Bach, it was very cosy and nice. Watch our detailed house tour in this travel video.
