Cultural Expectations Don't Determine Beliefs

Описание к видео Cultural Expectations Don't Determine Beliefs

Atheist Armin Navabi writes, "People who are raised within a religious culture will generally have experiences that mirror the expectations of that culture... This creates a feedback loop, where people see what they want to believe, which then supports the beliefs they already hold." His point proves nothing because while it is true that our culture and presuppositions may influence our beliefs, they do not determine them. We see people believe things contrary to cultural expectations every day!
