Shane Eedes runs an 800km horse trail along the Wild Coast of the Transkei region in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It takes a total of 2 months, but guests who are into exciting adventure, physical challenges and the most beautiful scenery on earth can join him for 10 nights at a time. I caught up with Shane at Umtentu River Mouth where we talked about horses, the Wild Coast, god and culture. Shane discusses some of the challenges that the people of the Wild Coast are facing, like the new Gwe Gwe Lodge development and the prospects of Titanium Mining of the red dunes of Xolobeni.
