Thirsty in the Desert - the Hayduke: part 1

Hello!

Welcome to the first episode of our 800+ mile hike across Utah (and Arizona) on the Hayduke Trail.

This first episode spans the first 90+ miles of the route from Arches National Park to the Needles Outpost outside of Canyonlands National Park. We seemed to experience all the emotions during this section: excitement to start a new trail, the challenges that come with hiking in the desert, and the joy of making it to a refrigerator filled with cold drinks after encountering a lot of undrinkable, alkaline (sulphur) water.

It's been fun revisiting the footage captured from the Hayduke because it was truly a breathtaking trail. It beat us up. But we came out the other side with a deeper appreciation for wilderness, public land, and the amazing people who recreate along it.
