Someone had requested I upload these old recital videos, so I uploaded them again, right here on my YouTube account!

At first, I never originally wanted to upload these old recital concert videos, EVER AGAIN, even though I did have these videos originally uploaded on my older, now dead-in-the-grave YouTube account. But I thought these video oldies could pose as interesting flash backs and serve as an inspirational backdrop by showing our viewers how much my brother and I had improved over time. And that with practice, and patience, we became much better pianist and musicians as a whole. And that the goal to actually play through these pieces we thought was never attainable was not true, as you can see how many Final Fantasy pieces we had now! As the truth foretold, we now actually have become better if not great pianist And that is a great realization! Of course for now, we also have moved on to other various interests in the musical field such as composing, and working and honing our other artistic endeavors and talents.

These pieces represent the first times my brother and I ever attempted playing Final Fantasy pieces. And at the time, they were quite difficult for our piano skill level. Finally, what you see and hear in these videos are our live recorded performances in concert, in front of a live audience. This recital was organized by my piano instructor, Linda O'Gorman, who we had taken lessons for 10 years! The recital was also held right inside a church and had taken place during Spring 2004 and 2005. And we were like 17 and 18 years old, and now we are 23 (as of January 11, 2010), so these are very old videos and were recorded a long time ago!

During these recitals we were sooo nervous. You can tell how much we have improved over the years! Ouch, so many mistakes! And perhaps very HORRIBLE performances! But we never practiced as hard back then, due to high school... Although it is amazing how much we had improved in a little amount of time and we are A LOT better pianist now!

Lest not forget that we do give much credit to our piano instructor. She once told us that her dream was that one day when we do become famous pianist we would thank her for all the skills she has taught us for piano. Although we are not exactly famous pianist, it is safe to say that our YouTube accounts would never have been born without her and her piano lessons. Not too farfetched I think it is an appropriate time now that we can say: Thank you Linda OGorman for all of the skills you taught us for the piano! We would never have become these great pianists without you! Actually during our last recital, in 2005, our piano instructor was pretty teary-eyed that the Balitz bros. had to go because that would be the last time she would see us as we would no longer be attending her piano lessons.

In the end, we hope these videos serve as a lesson of wisdom to many of you fresh beginning pianists out there. You might think you are just an amateur now, or that you are too old, too young, and know nothing about how to read music. The truth is that none of matters, and there is not pre-requisite to become a musician, let alone become a great pianist. We all have to start somewhere You just need an instrument to play on. And yes, piano instructors do help, but that can only go so far. Like some of you we also were never truly dedicated at practicing back then. But in the end, once you know the basics, only it is yourself that can make yourself a better pianist. We highly suggest playing something you enjoy, and recommend you to not play something you hate. Hell, if it were not for Final Fantasy music, we probably would not have gotten as far as we are as pianists today. And that truly shows how Final Fantasy Nobuo Uematsu has been a great inspiration for our musical YouTube piano career. Yes, it is important to practice, but do so only it in small segments and in moderation. Becoming a good pianist takes time. Patience is a virtue. If you get bored of a piece, move on, or play multiple pieces simultaneously. Make practice time exciting! Practice does not have to be always boring or frustrating. If practice time gets you nothing but emotionally disturbed, take a breather and take a break! And you will eventually find yourself more energized and more dedicated with learning pieces than you ever were before! Motivation helps inspiration, and inspiration helps motivation!

But after his account suspension on December 07, 2009 and reinstatement on January 07, 2010 First, he has a few video rants he wants to upload, with a few not-so-nice things to say about YouTube and Google.
