China Building 1 KM Long Spaceship!

China's ministry has proposed a new project which aims to build an ultra-large spacecraft. That's around 1 kilometers in length. For comparison, ISS is only 109 meters long it costed a total of $150 billion to build and costs additional $4 billion yearly for operations.

The new project has been allocated $2.3 million funding for the purpose of early research on the project. One of the main challenge for spaceship is the mass scientists will research on minimizing the mass while ensuring the structural strength to launch into orbit. This spacecraft could be a game-changer for China as it would allow long-duration missions in space.
