Luigi Datome Career High 22 Points Full Highlights (4/15/2015)

After uploading this video, I had a real hankering for some authentic Italian food from the OG (that's Olive Garden for the culinary ignoramuses out there), but would you believe that they're closed right now? Apparently the coronavirus made them change their hours. But that didn't sate my appetite for huge plates of fettuccine alfredo, so I'm camping out in their bushes right now and typing this description on my phone. Mama mia!

It turns out all you need to do to get Luigi Datome to produce is to give him a starter’s role. Once you’ve done that, he turns into an angry-looking pizza-eating messiah figure, but instead of giving eternal salvation to all of mankind he just kicks all of their asses instead. The Man-Bun cometh!

I don’t know if the Man-Bun’s going to get minutes in the playoffs or not. Despite this nice performance and a couple others scattered about, he hasn’t been, realistically, all that good. Of course, that fits in well with the Boston Celtics as a whole this year, so maybe its just what they need.

That’s in the future, though. Gigi scoring 22 points is the present. Actually now the past. But still way more concrete of an event than whatever’s going to happen against the Cavaliers. These highlights can never be taken away from us. When he goes back to Europe in a few years, we can always look back on them fondly and say “Mama Mia!”
