Quilling Guidance
Thank you for picking up your Quilling To Go Kit. We hope you enjoy the creative process. Below are instructions for making your art piece.
Materials:
• 1 canvas panel
• Black marker
• Glue stick
• Strips of paper
• Quilling tool
Making your creation:
• First using a pencil, draw the outline of a tree and its branches.
• Tip: if you do a quick google image search for “tree trunk outline” you will find a lot of examples to get inspiration from!
• Trace and then colour in the tree with the permanent black marker.
• Take one strip of paper and your quilling tool.
• Place the paper through the small slot at the end of the quilling tool (be careful not to poke yourself!)
• Move the paper so the end of the paper almost comes out of the quilling tool but not completely!
• Turn the quilling tool, coiling the paper around and around nice and tight.
• When you get to the end, dab on some glue and squeeze the paper together so the coil will not come undone.
• Put glue on to one side of the coil and then glue it to the tree branches.
• Do this over and over with different coloured paper until your branches are covered and you have a beautiful autumn tree!!
