Some people want to build their Facebook page by getting as many page likes as possible. They think that once they have enough likes, they will have a massive audience and never had to pay for ads again.

You will see some options out there where you can buy 5,000 page likes for $50 or something similar to this. This is a bad idea as many of the likes are coming from fake Facebook accounts. Once Facebook shuts them down, you no longer have 5,000 likes anymore.

You can also run Facebook ads to get page likes, but it's really a waste of money because you will still have to keep running ads to have your followers see your content.

You are much better off using custom audiences to grow your audience so that you can run retargeted ads in the future.
