In this quick tip video, we'll go over a new feature in After Effects 23.0 beta, Selectable Track Mattes. Now we have the flexibility and power to select one reference matte for all our layers, without having to duplicate, re-arrange layer stacks, and clutter our timelines. We still have control over using the luma or alpha channel (and their inversions) for mattes. Hope to see this feature roll out soon in the public release.
